Hola! Last week Chris and I took off and went on a “babymoon” vacation to Punta Cana! We went back to Excellence Punta Cana, the same resort where we had our honeymoon. We love, love, love that place.
Going on vacation was something we really wanted to do together before the baby arrives, and after the winter we had, a tropical beach trip was just what we needed. We had perfect weather — hot and sunny, no rain, and an ocean breeze to keep things cool enough. Needless to say, we took TONS of photos, but today I’m starting with the outfits I wore throughout the week. My bump is looking bigger in these photos. Not only is Baby H growing, but I ate a lot during the trip — it was all-inclusive, after all
During the day it was all bathing suits and cover-ups for me, but I got dressed up each evening for dinner and the night’s festivities. Here’s what I wore:
Night 1: We had to get up at 2am to begin our journey to Punta Cana, so I was feeling pretty run down by the time we took this photo before dinner. This night we ate at the resort’s Italian restaurant and headed back to the room early to crash.

Night 2: I wore my You Gotta Regatta maxi for the Beach Party night. They served a Dominican dinner on the beach, had live music, dancers, and lots of festive decorations. We loved the Beach Party night the first time we went for our honeymoon, and it was just as fun the second time around!

Night 3: I was super excited about this new maternity maxi dress I found at Target before our trip. I love the color and the long, loose fit. This night we ate at the resort’s Mediterranean restaurant — a pretty outdoor patio spot!

Night 4: I was least excited about wearing this dress, but it ended up being my favorite outfit and perfect for beach photos! I’ve definitely filled it out since the last time you saw me wear this, and I love how it fits now. I think I’ll be wearing it a lot this summer. This night we at at the Lobster House beachside restaurant.
Dress: ELLOS Dress C/O La Redoute
Sandals: Sam Edelman
Night 5: The last night of vacation is always sad! This night we at at the Mexican restaurant (which ended up being our favorite dinner of the trip, food-wise) and then went to the Pool Soiree party — where they had live music, crazy flame dancers, and a monkey named Super Mario you could hold for photos!
Dress: Old Navy
I’ll be back later with more photos of the beach, resort, and what we did on our trip!
