Today is my 27th birthday! Each year, I do a post where I look back on some of the year’s highlights, and each has brought a big milestone to smile about. When I turned 25, I reflected on getting married. When I turned 26, the big milestone of the previous year was that Chris and I bought a house. As I turn 27, it’s obvious that the big moment of the year was when Chris and I found out we’re going to be parents. I’ll never forget the feeling!
Here’s what 26 years old looked like in a nutshell:
Chris and I visited one of our favorite towns, Madison, Indiana.
We loved our local county fair.
We enjoyed our first veggie garden. (This year, I started a flower bed, and I can’t wait to share details about it!)
I “mastered” baking macarons….or at least nailed down a recipe I can use without having a macaron-disaster.
I loved going to the Grand Prix!
I took beginning, intermediate, and advanced floral design classes … and LOVED them!
I got my first tulle skirt.
Finally got to see Sigur Ros live.
Went on a weekend girls’ trip to Nashville, Indiana with Karin.
Chris and I celebrated our 2-year wedding anniversary with a night downtown.
Got to decorate our house for Christmas for the first time and host Christmas for our family.
We found out we’re having a baby!
Chris and I went on a babymoon vacation to Punta Cana!
With a baby on the way, 27 is shaping up to be a life-changing year!
